Week 1: Organization & Controller Updates

This is the first devlog for this project! I'm making an updated version of my project from last semester, which will be treated as a demo. I plan to add quality-of-life changes, a few new mechanics, and eventually new levels.

This first week was dedicated to organizing the project and tweaking the player controller. Variables were unlocked to be able to view in the inspector and tweak:

Unlocked variables for player controller

New "Playground" scene for testing

I prepared a separate scene for testing new mechanics, and added test objects and triggers for the first mechanic I plan on adding: moving and rotating objects caused by triggers. That's my goal for next week!

Finally, I also drafted color palettes for future levels based on the existing one:

Top left: existing | Top right: Level 3 | Bottom right: Level 2

I'm still not sure if I'd rather have a less-saturated look in level 2, so in the bottom left there is a variant color bar for a green ramp.

This was a slow week, but the pace should pick up soon as more tangible things are worked on. Until next week!
